Please - email or post a query letter, brief synopsis and info about yourself, your writing experience and potential audience, if you have a manuscript you would like us to read.

Please - do not send unsolicited manuscript attachments as they will be deleted. If your query info sells the idea, then you will be asked to send the full manuscript.

Please - allow three months before following up your submission. Even if it is the best manuscript in the world, there's every chance that it won't get an immediate response.

Tonto is keen to build up a stable of seasoned biographers and journalists who have manuscripts to send, agents to send them via and are capable of handling ‘on spec’ commissions.

Tonto is interested in pop culture, music, biography and celebrity titles. Mass-market, quirky, edgy, left-of-centre... whether it is a comedy drinking guide, memoir or TV tie-in – if the story is worth hearing, then it is worth publishing.

Please - look at the Tonto Books list before sending something that wouldn't fit with our publishing tastes.
