About Sheila Quigley
Sheila Quigley has had various jobs ranging from the bad to the ridiculous and all the in-betweens: machinist, presser, double glazing sales person, market stall holder, frozen food sales person and then some. The hardest of these was picking tatties to put shoes on the kids’ feet, at a time when the weekly dole money for a family of two adults and three little girls was £10.
She now has nine grandchildren (six boys, three girls), four children (three daughters, one son) and two sons-in-law. And an awful lot of tatties are eaten at family dinners.
